“I don’t have one illustration style. It’s my job as the illustrator of a picture book to describe the world of that story with all the tools available to me.  I use a style, (created by my compositions), a technique, (the type of tools and material I use to paint), and color palette.  A picture book world set in Turn of the 20th Century Coney Island is very different than that of one set in Turn of the 21st Century East Los Angeles .”
